Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3……

Jerez awoke to the sound of F1 engines this morning as the first test gets underway. The Caterham and Marussia teams presented their new cars, too, the former being extremely ugly, the latter rather neat.

Taking to the track today are the following:

Felipe Massa – Ferrari

Jenson Button – McLaren

Mark Webber – Red Bull

Nico Rosberg – Mercedes

Romain Grosjean – Lotus

Pastor Maldonado – Williams

Nico Hulkenberg – Sauber

Paul di Resta – Force India

Giedo van der Garde – Caterham

Max Chilton – Marussia

Daniel Ricciardo – STR

Of the above all are 2013 cars bar the Williams, which will not run until the next test at Barcelona.

So far it has been bad news for McLaren and Mercedes, both of whose cars have suffered failures, and Ricciardo is currently the fastest runner.
